SMP (shape memory polymer) filament whose shape can be easily changed by heat. Objects made with this filament are solid at room temperature, but when heated to 55℃ or higher with hot water, they become soft and the shape of the object can be changed. Once the shape of a printed object has been changed, it will be restored to its original shape by heating it again to 55℃ or higher. Until now, the shape printed by 3D printers was the final form, but By using SMP filament, it is possible to customize the shape to fit each person after printing. For example, it is suitable for modeling objects that have different shapes for each person, such as parts that fit the body of a prosthetic leg. SMP is even more suitable for use in 3D printers than PLA. It can be used almost as is under the printing conditions of PLA. No warping, no odor, no need for a heat bed, and no filament breakage during printing.
